I bought T-Rex, and I love them. I have no fear that anything going to happen.

Plus, I can sit on my bike while it's up.

I got mine from Harbor Freight, $40 for the rear, and $10 for an "Adapter" that fits on the stand to be able to use it for the front.
Very sturdy, I had my bike on the rear for 2 weeks, didnt feel like it was going to fall or anything, I even moved my bike while on the stand (squid points for me? )

I support and use pitbull stands. They are very sturdy and made in the USA. You can't beat that.

I also have a T-rex stand, and so far it has been perfect. I think I paid about $45 shipped off of the bay if my memory serves me correctly.

I was the same way about the cost of bent tubing and wheels. I was going to order the ebay guys, but found one at my local bike shop for $55. If you have a good craigslist community you might find one there.

I got el cheapo ebay ones and they have been great so far. I dont keep my bike on them all the time though. Its not really necessary for me. I only use the stands while working on the bike.

This is my thinking as well. I'm not a mechanic and don;t play one on TV
so I will use it mainly to clean the rear and the occasional fixit. I will not be sitting on the bike while on the stand either. And most importantly I have a lawyer

Lawyer won't do you any good. You'll get murdered in court.

I have a HF stand I use for rear maint and seems ok. IMO they're only good for 1 maint and 1 storage season. I used it on my F3 last year for maint / storage and it has a very slight cant that my OCD can detect. I'll be upgrading to something a little costlier this year tho at the end of the season.
