the chain that was on my bike is a 525 "pro" chain...when i did the 600rr swing arm mod the 600rr swing had a chain on it..525 DID..went threw the whole deal "DID has there own master".. and was told they only make it in clip link style.....

but yeah the DID chain is just a bit bigger than the other two chains i have..

Hey if you're willing to go with a clip, more power to you. You'll remember this post one day when your chain has gone through your crank case / engine, or you're stranded on the side of the road because it popped off and link backed out. Seen it happen 2wice in my lifetime to others.

no i don't like the clip at all.. thats why i got the new chain in standard size...
i do like the fact that the DID clip link had to press on just a little.. not like others i have used...but i have had good luck with them i have used the clip style before and had good luck with it..then again i didn't get crazy on that bike...lol...

My cheap ebay chain lasted 1500 miles then a pin sheared when I speed shifted at redline into 3rd gear. Don't do cheap chains kids.

I find that when I listen to old schoolers, who have been through it all, I always come out on top.

what is every so often? 500-1000 miles?
if you think about it the basic idea is the same.. the only difference i can think of it the strength of the metal used..that and how far the pin is riveted on the links..
