Default Change pedal rubbing and getting caught on the stand spring

I've started having issues with my change pedal rubbing on the rubber of the stand spring when I down shift. Some times I have to scoop it back up manually. What do I need to adjust to correct this issue?

Look for a bent shift rod or bent pedal.

Also, check to see if your kickstand is loose or bent. The most common place for the kickstand to become distorted is not actually the kickstand itself but the "U" shaped tabs through which the pivot bolt for the kickstand runs. If these become too worn, they will allow too much free play in the kickstand.

I'll check into those when I get home tonight. I was able to make a course adjustment to the pedal height and it doesn't hit. I just have to get use to the different shifting style that is required.
