Chain/Sprockets Question

If you have seen me post before, you know I'm new with bikes. I recently bought a 2004 CBR600F4i and I need to replace the chain and sprockets. I just have a few questions before purchasing one. I want a yellow chain and the only one I could find was on its own and not in a kit. It said it was 525x120. I'm assuming the 120 means how many chain links are in the chain (maybe I'm wrong) but what do both these numbers mean and what do I need for my bike if I want to to run stock and not screw up my speedometer or anything like that. Also, what size front and rear sprockets do I need? 16 teeth in front 45 teeth in back? And are these sprockets/chains universal as long as it is the right size I need? Forgive me, I know these might be dumb questions but hey, ya gotta start somewhere! Thanks for looking and for any help you can provide.

Below is a link to the chain I found and I will probably purchase. Take a look and see if it looks right to you or not.

stock is a 16/46. not sure if its a 530 or 525. probably a 525. if you use 525 sprockets, use a 525 chain. it should be 108 links. you will nees to cut a few off the 120 link chain if you get that one. i recommend using D.I.D. or RK chains, but you can get what ever brand you like.

525 is stock. definitely want to get a kit, or make sure your sprocket and chain match (520 vs 525, etc.)

What exactly does the 525 mean? I am finding 520 and 530 but not the 525 which it recommends in the manual I just read.

Would the difference in teeth change my bike up? I have a friend who said he put a different sprocket than what the stock number was and that it made his speedometer off a little bit.

the 43 sprocket will give you higher top speed, lower cruising rpms, and loss of low end torque. speedo will definitely be off.

Yeah, although I would love to have lower cruising RPM's, I do not want to screw the speedometer up. Does no one know what the 520, 525, 530 numbers mean?

The numbers tell you the pitch of the chain/sprockets, or simply put the width. So the 520 will be a smaller lighter chain then the 530.
