measure the amount of slack at the bottom center of the chain. set it to 1 3/8 if thats what the spec is for your bike. (my 929 say 1 3/4, f4i's run tighter then. thanks for the correction)
Sounds good. It appeared to be a tad tight. Guessing once you get on it and everything else the slack gets a lot lesser and hence why I had that problem.I am only a 135lbs so I would be more shocked if it moved a lot hahha.
Any of you fine gentleman want to talk about spark plugs?
If you go to napaonline.com and use type in DEN 5369 and search its suppose to be a denso for our spark plugs. They are way cheaper than ngk. Anybody ever use the denso?
You can measure at the center point of the chain or close to it. Just use you're best judgement with that no need to go all scientific and measure everything out to figure out exactly where center is. I run my chain at about 1 1/4 inches.
Those old sprockets are going to chew up that new chain. You should always replace them at the same time. Most old sprockets dont look worn out until you compare them with a brand new one. How many miles on the clock? (since you mentioned plugs too)
25000 but the old chain I think I did something to it hence why it went out. Ya I was going to sell it next year the bike but I dunno yet what I am going to do. I like the bike a lot but not sure hmmm.
