Default cct part number

Does anyone know the part number to the oem cct for an 02 f4i? I bought what I thought was the part I needed to fix the rattling and after getting it noticed it was not the part I needed. Fixing to tear my bike down to paint it and figured I would go ahead and replace the cct. Any help would be appreciated.

Andy-My brosif...there is a whole thread on the cctl in the sticky

cheapcycleparts.com

The latest revision and OEM updated CCTL has 2 green dots and is part # 14520-MBW-J23 and the gasket 14523-MAL-A00

It is really a J24 version but the part # seems to still be J23 (the package should say J24 when you get it)

And no your bike dosent HAVE TO be remapped after just exhaust. a remap is always helpful though after any modification

You actually want a cam chain tensioner lifter cctl not a cam chain tensioner cct

http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/C...02/part_59967/

You'll also want a gasket, 1/4 inch ratchet with long extension, a 45 degree attachment and a 5mm allen key socket.
I would also highly recommend a telescopic magnet pick up tool

yea its part #4, and part #5 for the gasket on this diagram. i just ordered mine. when you order it and click on what you ordered, it will say this part has been replaced by part #14520-MBW-J24. like noober had said.

and good advice monkeh on the parts needed i got to the cctl and everything, got the top bolt loose and couldnt get the bottom one in, i only had allen sockets in 3/8 drive, so had to use an adapter to go to the 1/4in ratchet... the adapter made the angle go too far, almost 90 degrees, so it preventd it from turning, so now i have to track down a 1/4in drive 5mm allen. which adv autoparts, autozone, sears, and a local tool shop dont have.

any advice on where to get the 1/4in drive 5mm allen socket
