CBR600fi 4 wont start
 

hi guys new here so keep me right. Have had my cbr for 3/4 months no problems. Out on a run yesterday and stopped to refuel, it would then not start. Bike has a meta alarm/ immobiliser so my usual procedure is... press button on fob to disarm immobiliser, ensure kill switch is in run position and bike is in neutral, when ignition is turned the fuel pump makes a whine under tank while clocks do a check, then bike will start. all above is happening apart from whine from fuel pump and bike will not start. RAC came out and bypassed power to the pump and it works. any idea what my problem is?? have had a search and seen mentioned cam sensor and tilt switch? but dont know where either are located on the bike.

Most likely your alarm system isnt functioning correctly now. I would start by removing it from the equation. The other things that will cause the pump not to prime is the BAS, ignition switch, kill switch, kickstand switch, and neutral switch. I've seen several alarm systems malfunction and cause this though, expecially the cheap ebay ones and such.
