Both connections? Are you referring to the vacuum line side of the FPR and the line that runs to the tank side of the FPR? Check both sides for fuel or air pressure?

What signifies a good or bad Symptom? I know fuel in vacuum line is a bad thing, meaning the FPR diaphragm is ruptured. Thank you for the quick replies. It helps me to be able to talk about something as soon as it's on my mind because other wise I obsess over it until I get answers.

Not sure if you'll feel the vacuum, which part of the pipe did you clamp? And yes, i'm trying to remember if either side should have fuel, i don't think so, but someone will have to call me out on that.

I know mine did have fuel in it and it should not have.

The hose I clamped was the one that runs from FPR to the fuel tank. Only reason I did that was because user 74demon suggested me to try that, whenever the problem happened, to see if it helped the situation. If it did then the FPR would be the problem. And what I said recently in my long post it seemed like it did help the issue but I need some experienced peoples to back that up. Plus I don't want to go and replace the part without bein sure that it's the problem. I feel like it is because the bike (before I owned it) sat in a garage for years without being attended to.

Whatever the issue, it feels fuel related. And every time its happened I always listen for the fuel pump and it's always running. I'm going to try and ride it soon. Get the problem to happen again and catch it all on video. Then post it to my YouTube channel. That way maybe a few people can visually see the problem.

I would agree with him that you should just do the FPR replacement, it's a common thing and the diaphragm goes bad with age, mine had only 7k miles on it and 14 years old. Replaced it, not a bad price, all is well again.

Well he/she never actually said that was the issue and needed replacing. They wanted me to do the test and at the time the problem stopped. But now it's back and like I said, I think that the FPR is bad, you think it's bad, they thought it could be the problem. I just wanted to be sure because it's a $70 part, and I don't have the budget to buy $70 if not needed.. But sense I felt sure about it I went ahead and bought it. Comes in Friday June 9th. Fingers crossed!

Here's the part for $55.
16740-MBW-J32 REGULATOR, PRESSURE $55.07

It's vacuum, that you closed off the vacuum and got a positive result in the running is about as close to confirming the issue as i think you're going to get.

See this thread if you haven't already.

Yeah.... that partzilla is a sneak mother... $55 for the part and $10 for shipping.. and you never really know if it's in stock and they won't notify you otherwise. I have dealt with them a lot.. I found it for $60 on MOTOSPORT free 3day shipping, and tracking. Much more reliable and comfortable.

Thanks for the link. It really surprises me that all the searches I've made In the internet never turned that forum post up. There is great information there. Fingers crossed this fixes the problem. I'll post results once I get the parts.

Sweet, glad it's all running well

I don't recall if yours is a CA model or not, but i finally gave up on the power commander and replaced my O2 sensor, i'm now getting 180 miles before reserve, commuting, up from 130 something. Which is more than it was before the o2 sensor went bad anyway.
