Use vacuum-pump to pull some vacuum on FPR. Does it hold vacuum? or does it drop?
Similar to testing petcock diaphragm on carby bikes.

Hello,

sorry it’s been a while since the last update. However some good news!

I tested the FPR for pressure, and it was not even getting above 6-7psi. The manual says it should be around 41-43psi ??

Anyway, I replaced it as it was definitely faulty, and when I went to start the bike again, it was back to running perfectly! It idles correctly and all down pipes are hot. It also gets up to temp much faster too. The smell of fuel has pretty much disappeared and my exhaust is much cleaner looking.

I am going to take it for a small ride to try it out, see how she goes.

I can’t believe such a small part could cause so much havoc!!

Thanks dannoxyz, you have been an absolute god send!

Will report back with how it all goes.

Update:

So for lack of better words, the bike is running like a dream!

Definitely smoother, after some small adjustments it idles correctly when stopping at lights / junctions. The throttle response is immediately felt, it gets up to speed no problems and it sounds fantastic!! Fuel smell has completely gone, and exhaust smells more like it should. All down pipes were hot after the run.

I am absolutely delighted, this forum is awesome!
Cheers again Dannoxyz

(Now just to wait for the better weather )
