carb vacuum lines

I am in the process of putting the bike back together after valve shimming from last spring. I am sure I did not bend any valves after checking with fellow forum members.

Now I want to sync the throttle bodies but need to know the vacuum hose routing.

First: There are two hoses on the engine, right below the throttle bodies, one on each side. I have the one on the left going to the 4-way splicer. The 4 way splicer hoses goes to each of the 4 carbs.
Q1-Is this the right line to connect to the 4 way?
Q2-where does the right hose go? Air box? (There is a nipple, but no opening...)

second: The MAP sensor has a line coming off it.
Q3- where does this one go?
If I remember it just dangles.
third: I have the homemade carb sync. If I remember correctly, I do the first carb, then adjust the rest to that?
Q4 - Which Hoses do I use? The ones on the 4 way? If so, where does the remaining hose go (refer to Q1)??

q1: a picture of what you have would be very helpful. there are lots of lines in there that fit your description.
q2: vacuum lines do not dangle unconnected. again, a picture would help.
q3: the map connects to a 5 way tee, one to each throttle body.
q4: carb sync wont work on fuel injection. there is a procedure to sync fi throttle bodies and it requires special screw in fittings. this is not very common at all. the ecu adjusts the mixture on fi bikes.

I believe they went to the air box but those are closed nipples...
(crap, should I get that little piece of blue towel out of there? I already have the throttle bodies on it..

Now you can see both of them.

Ill look in the morning on my spare motor.

my engine does not have those hoses. there are screw plugs in mine and are used to sync the throttle bodies with a screw in fitting. maybe they go to the plugged fittings on the air box, but i'm guessing.

thats where I believe they came from.

I went to the popular sportshop in town and showed them the last diagram picture. He said it was for coolant....

do they go into a coolant jacket? i thought that at first, but the clamps on the hose will hold vacuum not cooling system pressure.
