Hey there, so this is my second winter into spring, and first time on this forum. I went out to get my bike all prepped for spring and I installed a new battery. The bike will not start. 01 f4i. The headlights come on, the bzzz noise (fuel) is heard when you turn the key, signals work, break lights do not. The speedometer only has the clock on it and never shows speed or mileage. Checked the fuses, and replaced the break light one with the spare that is given but that didn't change anything. I push in to try and start, but I don't get anything no noise, no turn over nothing. Please help however you may be able.

 

check your wiring harnesses.... first one i would check is the black 9pin on the front cluster..... what your having issues with all goes through that

 

try to bypass ur ignition relay. but it sounds like you have an electrical short somewhere.

 

Check spark to plugs. If fuel pump primes then your zener diode in the ignition is working fine.

If you get no spark on the plugs trace back from there.
