Hey guys,

So I laid down my bike last Tuesday and have been searching for this color of fairing EVERYWHERE on the internet and can't seem to find a thing.



Is this an OEM color and would I be able to order it through a dealer? This fairing and my upper fairing (which I believe was powder coated or painted flat black by the previous owner) got pretty damaged in the crash. Would it just be worth it to get a whole new set of aftermarket fairings in a different color?

But if it was already painted, there is no point of shelling out 500$ to get the oem form the dealer. Get a used one off ebay and get it painted, it should cost you about 100 max!

Ebay, china fairings are crap, horrible quality, the paint work is not bad tho. I speak from experience. If you buy ebay fairings get ready for some extra fabrication and don't ever drop your bike because the fairings will shatter, they are very weak. But for 500 bucks for a whole set from china, its not a bad deal.

I believe they only made that color in 04.

Not all chna fairings are as bad as he says, He must have got the chepest set, I got mine from the old cbrfairings and they were very strong and only had to open 2 holes that had paint dried over to get the bolt in (Took 5 seconds each hole)

Personally I would look into aftermarket fairings (Whatever color you want) and it will be cheaper then buying a new OEM one (When I looked in Canada an upper was almost $800 and the side was $550), plus you can sell the rest of your fairings and make your money back

I've had good luck with cbrfairings too. The fit was a tiny bit off but everything else was great for the price.

Okay, so apparently the OEM fairings are going to be way more expensive than I though, so I thought of just buying these bad boys and changing the color of my bike completely. Are these going to break easily?

The great thing about paint is it doesn't matter what fairing you start with.

 

Try the forum sponsors. (MFrus) They should be cheaper than that on the set. You can also order the one fairing from them and just replace the broken one. I think it will even come matched.
