Hi all, I am thinking of getting a F4i , I love the bike. I have seen some F4i and some F4i sport models. Since sometimes I will be carrying a passenger (girlfriend) for some short trips , etc, I think the single piece seat is more practical. However I like the looks of the sport model a lot.

If I buy the sport model, will I be able to buy and put a single piece seat on it for some trips? Do the two versions share the same seat mounting , etc?
Any other tips for more comfortable 2 person riding from sport owners?

My wife doesn't mind the pillion seat for the split seats that much but she does find the banana seat to be more comfortable. To answer your question the two seats require different mounting points and different sub-frames. It shouldn't be too bad for short to medium trips though. If she grips you with her thighs and arms and braces herself against the tank it should be pretty comfy.

 

Other than sub-frame, I'm pretty sure you need to swap out the tail cowl, tail plastic w/key hole, seat latch. etc...
