Can you help - where can I buy an APE CCT
I live in Hong Kong and cannot find any supplier who can source one. Any idea of companies who can ship one to me?

I guess living in Hong Kong might be beneficial. A lot of different suppliers of fairing kits are from over there :)
I quit trying to buy anything from abroad. That stator cover I tried to get, never came... But back to the subject. Try ebay, there must be someone with international shipping option. If no one is there, then... don't know to be honest. Checked local shops? |
Why buy an APE??
Just remove your old hydraulic one. Gut the insides out of it so your left with just the cone shaped case. Drill out the backside of it, where you removed the bolt holding the hydraulic unit in. Run a tap through where you drilled. Cut about a 5 1/2" piece of All-Thread that matches your tap. Run the all thread through the casing. Put two lock nuts on the outside of the casing reinstall the unit and adjust your pressure like you would with any other manual. And your done, one hydraulic CCT turned into a manual. I did this and it cost me a grand total of about 15 bucks. But that's because I didn't have the tap I needed. take out that 10 bucks and it actually cost me about 5 bucks. And if your worried about how long it will last, I've got 15k miles on my bike since I did this and not a sound has come out of it. |

There must be an easier way to find the tensioner, and I'm sure he already found one. |
