Emissions aside - what’s the difference between a California F4i – and a non California F4i ??

Will I have a slower bike [sm=smiley11.gif]? Can I convert it to a non California bike [sm=smiley20.gif] ? de-smog it ??

Am I going to have problems when it comes time for a power commander and exhaust?

Did I mike a bigmistake[sm=badidea.gif] getting a California bike ....

 

no california F4i's actually give off a scent that attracts women more then motorcycles built for other states.


i also hear they can withstand a nuclear explosion.

you'll be fine with anything you want to do with it. i think the distinction has been elminated as all the other bikes now have 02 sensors...i'm not sure about the charcoal canister. i would imagine so.
you won't have any issues installing any performance mods...other than CARB...but they don't check bikes...RARELY...or ever. just don't go too loud and the cops won't hassle you.

 

are all the bikes from 05' onward the same as far as smog emitions stuff? (i.e. o2 sensor, charcoal canister, and all other eco crap)

 

06 and up, all F4i bikes have 02 sensors. 05 and older, only cali models. That's all I know about it.

 

i thought big green Honda started all that 50 state emission legal crap in 04'[&:]
