Buying sprockets, do I need new chain?

Buying sprockets, do I need new chain?
Ok, I've searched for quite a while on here, but cannot seem to find an answer. If I stick with the 525 style sprockets, if I go -1 down, +2 up, can I use stock chain? I have around 7k miles on my '05 if it matters. Not looking to do any stunting, just want some more torque down low. TIA

Do you mean a brand new chain with your brand new sprockets or your existing chain on your bike with new sprockets. From what I have learned is never mix chains and sprockets that did not start out all brand new together, cuz the chain and sprockets break in and wear together as a set.

dude.. your nuts.. if you go -1 one in front and plus 2 in rear you will BARELY be able to go on the highway!!!!!!!!!
you would be at like 8k at 65 mph!!! if not more!
your gas milage would go out the window and first gear will seem un neccecary..
you will be able to notice a huge difference just by changing the front sprocket! and city worker is right, changing sprockets and not the chain is a bad idea..
if you want more tourqe down low.. get a V-twin.. 4-cycleders just dont have it...
