busa vs. f4i
 

so I've gotten real good at wheelies and I heard the busa isnt exactly a wheelie bike but could I shorten the the swing arm on the busa while keeping all the other geometry on the bike the sAme and retain the good handling aspects?

there are many things that go into handling aspects. A big thing is weight, tire width/profile, etc. Shortening the swingarm may give it slightly better handling but not much if any.

If you want a good handling bike with a lot of straightline speed and power. Then throw nitrous on your 600 and you'll have plenty of power right away.

There's no point in picking up a busa and shortening the swing arm to get better handling. Get a 1000 and throw on a couple bolt-ons and you'll be able to keep pace with a bigger cc engine.

See I love my f4i in the twisties, it's light, sure footed and if you're in the right gear it has a easy to command and predictable power-band. I just want to take the next step. Please, don't tell me the next step is a 750. after mastering the wheelie I think I'm due for the big leagues. I guess what I want to make is a busa rr, you know?

have you ever ridden a 1000? you're never going to get the most out of a 1000 and you probably haven't fully pushed your 600 either.

Just because you can pull wheelies all day long doesn't mean you've reached the potential of a bike.

you'd be surprised at the difference a PCIII can make, even sprocket change, i wouldn't recommend you dropping your 600 for a busa, just because you can do really good wheelies on it

uh yeah +1 to that. being able to pull wheelies on your 600 doesnt mean youre ready for 1300cc bike. And +1 to you probably never being able to push a 1000 to its limits and getting the most of one of those either. If you think youre ready for a liter bike or a busa then by all means get one but dont justify that just by saying you can do wheelies on a 600, you sound stupid. If all you want is a bike for straight line speed then sure get one of those and twist the throttle, hold on, have fun, and dont die. Otherwise take your f4i to the track and see how well you keep up with the other 600s. Granted newer bikes and the rr's wont be that fair of a matchup but youll get an idea of how ready you really are for a bigger bike.

OP I don't mean to flame you but the way you worded your statement is not all that intelligent. That is like saying I can ride a wheelie on a bicycle so I should join the Moto GP tour. See how stupid that comment sounds. If you think you are ready for a liter bike then step up to it. But even you said you like the 600 in the twisties. Have you ever ridden a 600RR? I can assure you my 07 RR is a completely different animal than my F4i. You might want to try that out before you go to a 1300cc bike.

F4i is a far far far better stunt bike than a Busa.

I think you ought to ride a Busa first. I have never ridden one but they are a VASTLY different bike than the F4i. It won't be the light fun bike you think it will be I don't think.
