I went and got my spare out and used it. You should have made an extra when you got the bike.

you have to get the # thats on the back of the lock cylinder, its a lil rough to take apart but thats the only way, when you get that then you take the # and your registration to a honda dealer and they can make you a key.

How the hell do you get a spare made!? I have been to three different places to get a copy. The dealership said that they can't make the copy and said to go to Lowe's - they couldn't do it because theydidn't have the blanks. They told me to try Home Depot - guess what? - they can't do it either! Next I'm trying a friggin locksmith!

Any decent locksmith will have the blanks to make you a key.

Home improvement stores don't have a good reason to carry a bunch of motorcycle blanks.
I'm surprised a dealership can't- but I guess it makes sense that they just don't want to have a key machine sitting around.

For blank keys go here:

http://www.motorcyclekeys.com/blanks2.html

When you get the blank take it to Home Depot or whatever and have em cut it. They will usually do it for free.
