Default Brand New 06 F4I....18 miles on it

I finally was able to get financed and get a great bike. The bike is perfectly stock and plenty quick without any mods on it. I want to modify it, but I also want to do everything right. I don't have to put exhaust on it, and then have the bike bog down because its not programs for the airflow etc..... My question is should just purchase a computer first before doing anything to change the way the bike performs?? Any advice would be helpfull.

Oh, and I live in Chandler, AZ so if anyone wants to go out riding let me know

I have an 06 with the Yosh TRS pipe and a PCIII with the map off their site. No problems here.

Congrats on the bike. What color did you get?

I have the Candy blue...looks like you have it to. How much of a difference does the pipe make is how loud the bike is?

Not overly loud. Very nice sound IMO. I really like the Yosh pipe.

I would go with the power commander first..... It will be a more noticable performance boost than just an exhaust. I still have the stock one on my bike for now but looking at akropivic because of the deep sound it has. It's not much louder than stock, only about 10db more.

I have a yoshi on mine also and it sounds awesome. Its not to loud, but its a big difference in sound from the stock since the f4i isn't to loud to begin with.

I guess it depends on how much you think you will need that extra hp. Are you pushing your bike that much? All the guys with them swear by them, though, and I probably just don't know what I am missing. To tell the truth, the bike is already more than I can handle without any more hp. I would consider just a slip on for now, though. They sound and look great, but won't run too lean w/o the PC. I have a Micron on mine and I LOVE it!!!

What I like to do to my bike, is make it look not so stock. Always finding ways to make it unique. I started with flush mount turn signals, carbon fiber mirrors, carbon fiber clutch and brake handles, and a Two Bros. slip on, makes it sound real nice. Mostly go with what your budget can afford, one piece at a time. The HID headlights are also an affordable upgrade too.
