Brake Pad replacement - OEM or aftermarket?
 

I'm sure this question has been asked but I guess I'm using the wrong keywords in the search engine because I can't find a relevant thread.

So: OEM brake pads or aftermarket? (i.e. EBC, Galfer etc.)

Has anyone that has used both noticed a difference?

Currently oscillating between the EBC double-H (non-ceramic) and OEMs from bikebandit as I can't get them from my local cycle gear.

EBC HH feel like wooden blocks, they suck. OEM is EXCELLENT for the price. If you like spending money vesrah is excellent as well. I've run oem pads on my f4i its entire life, I only pay for expensive pads on track bike.

Thanks for the info! I was leaning OEM as the price difference wasn't more than 6 bucks (vs the ebc's). I shall stick with OEM then :icon_imnotworthy:

I use the cheapest pads I can find on eBay, usually under $25 for set of three for all calipers on my F4i.
I rarely touch the brakes..

and the expensive pads you'd recommend for track bike would be....?
