RE: Brake bleeders leaking
Well i tightened it nice and tight and it still seeps a bit. I just put some teflon on the front right and tightened the rear a bit more ill go check it in a couple hrs to see if it seeps again.

RE: Brake bleeders leaking
Wrap it counter clockwise and don't overwrap more than 1/2 the thread. Let a little form a collar at the top of the bleed screw.

RE: Brake bleeders leaking
Feels like the rear can keep tightening. I put some on the front right and seems good so far no leaks.

RE: Brake bleeders leaking
Seems like all who have had this issue has been on the right front. If you're not getting a bite on the rear caliper you may have stripped threads.

RE: Brake bleeders leaking
Yea it is the right front lol. i put some teflon on the rear and tightened it. Ill see how it feels tomorrow.

RE: Brake bleeders leaking
Alright well put a bit of teflon tape around the front and rear and no problems so far. ill check again once i get home and take it for a ride and see if they feel good

RE: Brake bleeders leaking
yea just keep an eye on it...
i used it on my tahoe awhile back because i had a leak in the ss lines...it ate up the tape really fast, i just put LOTS on then cranked her down, didn't leak for years after that... i also used it around a fitting for my fuel pressure gauge...then cranked her down FAST...dude...gasoline was hungry for that tape! hahahaha...never leaked but i've always kept an eye on it. t |
RE: Brake bleeders leaking
yea def will. if it leaks i need new bleeders?
|
RE: Brake bleeders leaking
I think it's the threads on the calipers actually. I found my problem when I was installing speed bleeders. The bleeders seemed tight.
|
RE: Brake bleeders leaking
But how could it be i only loosened em up to bleed em then tightened em up and they leaked
