Starting to see temps get into the low 50's during the day. Two days of steady rain got most of the salt off the roads but gravel is still in mounds at many intersections. Got my master cylinder screw loosened by tapping on it with a hammer and punch! Now I'm waiting on the new bleeder screw.

Just worried I might have messed up the valve seat by over torqueing the OE one...

Fingers crossed that it will seat OK.
Take it easy out there, gravel is the worse
Probably another week or so for mine to be finished, just waiting on brake pads and dirty bars, a bit of fun and games fitting them and see how they feel (up and back 2-3 inches) as I am blessed with short arms and of course the age / comfort bit at play.

Weird situation - I loosened the bleeder to "just snug" and... no more fluid weeping! WTF??? Pumped the brake lever a few times to build up pressure and it still looks fine a few minutes later...

Anyway, I still need to replace the master cylinder screws. I got 'em loose by tapping gently around the edge with a hammer and a pointy punch. Not much worse than having to work on your bike, on a nice weather day, whilst listening to squids rip up and down the highway. Will still keep the extra bleeder on hand, just in case...

Nothing worse than not being able to go for a blast!
