Default bootleg dyno tune results.

Been here for awhile. There was talk on a custom tune for the bootleg exhaust etc.

Some guys even shared their custom tunes..But like everyone posted custom tunes are just that CUSTOM for THAT bike..

Pretty happy with my results.Esp since the only mods are a bmc street filter, bootleg slip on and a PCIII .Bike has a touch over 17k (just now a year old).Still have not gotten around to doing the plugs yet[:@](due at 15k).

Blue is the base dyno(custommap given to mefrom one of the guys here on the board) red is the new dyno with the a/f tweaked.. Notice the blue air/fuel is pretty good but with some tweaking it was even better..Better yet the bike is even more fun now.. final results were 97.7hp and 44.1tq.Peak wasnt the key it was the spots under it that were the best ..Esp in the 10-20-30 % throttle range..This is where a dyno tune REALLY helped..

Bottom line get a custom tune if you get a PCIII and other bolt ons.I put this off for months..Should have done this long ago..

I have to agree, part throttle conditions is where my bike really improved after mapping also.

thanks white....that just confirms me wanting to do it...i have a bootleg with -1 and i am really think i need a tune (it's been planned for awhile)....i am noticing i have a little lag on the throttle off take off and i am sure a tune would cure that....

i am waiting to get my BMC filter before i go get mine...unfortunately, i have been moving into a new house (need a good amount of work) and i have a baby on the way so i have even ridden my bike in over a month....i pretty much lost this riding season, but sometimes, life comes first you know....

but this is definitely encouraging...1) that a tune helps out that much and 2) that the bootleg pipe does help and isn't a negative...

don't know if i'll get my tune this year, but i will definitely have it for next year!

well aftera few days on the new tune.

The bike gets better gas mileage under heavy use(aka mountain runs etc).
THe throttle response esp down low is night and day .

Its like having a whole new bike again.Esp since ive been a dl map for quite awhile..

ffingers-i understand the house and other things coming first..Hence it took sometime before i finally got mine tune.BUt it will be well worth when you get it..It will be a completely different bike..

WOW I think this is the first honest dyno reading I've seen on a forum ever. I really opened this thread expecting to see that you were reading like 200 hp. Thank you for posting an actually honest dyno chart.

yeah, it's nice to hear good results and that my low and will be better...when i was riding before all this started up, i was noticing some lag on launch so i can't wait to get a nice smooth powerband....lol, i don't even have a dl map for it...haven't even installed my PCIII, that's how far behind i am....
