Thanks, it's good to hear someone listens to (my opinon of what is) good music. What are you in Asia for? Job/ military? How long? Why buy a boring bike you can get back in the states when you can get something that wasn't imported here And expieriance a bike that the rest of us won't have the pleasure of riding? Go buy a ZXR 250, wring the **** out of it then take it apart, box it up and ship it back the states.

+1 for a bike that isn't imported to North america. small 250-400cc inline four would be awesome (and it would sound like a hummingbird ).

I was thinking about a CBR400RR, but they are really... tiny. I'd feel like a goof riding one.

I'm here teaching English until August. There are some great roads here to ride on and I'm looking for a bike that I can wring out. My plan is one of the two RR's once I find myself back in the states, I'd like to ride a 600cc+ bike so I can prep for it and also have a better idea of what I'd like to buy when I do get back.

How big are you? I would love to have one (400rr)... I am 6ft 185lb... can you take a picture of yourself sitting on one in a showroom? then we will see if it is too tiny

I taught english in Hong Kong last year and couldn't believe how many cool bikes they get over there that we don't.... wish I had been able to afford a bike while over there.

Don't worry about not having the grunt of a 600... power isn't everything and the 400 would probably handle amazingly.

The problem with the cbr400rr is that they stopped making 'em around 1998. I'd be buying a 10+ year old bike, which means reselling it would be a PITA. Now, if I could find a relatively cheap way to ship it back to NJ and even have it registered, it'd be an option. The uniqueness factor definitely speaks to me, but I'm also looking for a bike that is reliable and resale-ability.

You pay to import bikes so I believe it would be cheaper to disassemble it and ship parts instead of a bike. You could probably make money of you sold it in the states. And if you find a inspection station with a dumb lady checking bikes its crazy what you can get past some

Now that I have a season and a half of riding under my belt I plan on upgrading to a new CBR 1000RR. I rode a friend of mines and it feels more nimble than my f4i. Just have to find a job first
