Bike wrapup

Edit- i've got the bike apart- i've settled the radiator issue, but now a electrical issue popped up.

So ive got my f4i apart right now with the tank up the throttle bodys exposed and the airbox aside this is because company sent me the wrong throttle cable and im waiting on the push cable- then my radiator is off and im wondering what connects to the connector on the radiator that is 1 pronged ive looked everywhere.then i need to re wire my headlight plugs because i snipped them when i tries to wire in a streetfighter light- then mountin
g and making a diy anti rotation pin for the left switch then putting on the left grip . Any help ?

also theres no oil and hasnt been for about a week should i put some in while its sitting? - edit put some more rotella t6 in there - 3.5~ ish quarts

The only electrical connection I remember on the radiator is the fan switch on the left side... but I may be wrong, it's been a while...

boredandstroked 06-07-2017 05:11 PM

Yeah I'd go with radiator fan wire.

xifer 06-07-2017 06:51 PM

what fan wire? i dont see anything that can connect to the metal prong

rfesu 06-08-2017 09:48 AM

it has an angled black rubber boot on it, and runs through the same harness as the fan connector.

here's a googled picture

I dont have a rubber boot for it to go on, so it means nothing connects to it ?
the connector is just meant to be screwed into the radiator?

Can you post a pic of what you have? That will help tremendously.

from looking at the plugs themselves there isnt any obvious wear or non connection.

hamlin6 06-11-2017 10:28 AM

Have you thoroughly cleaned all the contacts on both sides of the plug?

Sorry about that presumed it was just the time setting your after, anyway have you got all the major 9, 10 and 12 pin connectors joined as it needs to make that circuit around the bike and to and from the ECM, and is the "B" 10 amp fuse OK as regards the clock

i sprayed all the major connectors and unplugged replugged etc, i havent checked fuses though... where is that?

CaBaRet 06-12-2017 12:07 PM

Under neath the seat to the front, you should find all the fuses under there , from 10, 20 and 30 amp ,check them all especially the 10amp fuses B, there should be some spare ones in there if they haven't already been used

i checked the clock fuses they seem fine?

xifer 06-12-2017 11:47 PM

i disconnected my instrument cluster and looked the fuses and everything seems fine? could the speedo have gotten fried?

CaBaRet 06-13-2017 12:14 AM

Was it working before you stripped everything down

Hi , time for the multi meter ,Try this test and it will show if there is a open circuit on wires.

xifer 06-22-2017 10:04 AM

i ended up checking the obvious wiring issues and it looks fine, i never ended up testing it with the multi meter - but the problem fixed itself...? i believe if your cluster does this u need to ride the bike and it will reset it self because thats what happened to me...
