Bike won’t start.

I just got my F4i about a month and a half ago, last week while riding I had to avoid a car turning left and slid on gravel. The bike slid but everything looks alright, except for the fairings. When I turn it on everything runs, I can hear the fuel pump prime but when I press the starter nothing happens. I noticed the head light turn off when I press the starter botton. Also the bike won’t go into neutral, I keep trying but it keeps going from 1 to 2 gear. If anyone has any idea how I can fix either of those things I’ll be grateful.

Have you got any fault codes, have you reset the BAS, is your gearshift bent

Silly but is your red killswitch on the handlebar set to run or off?
Sidestand switch still plugged in?
Battery dead?

Not going into neutral is odd. Have you tried doing it by using your hand rather than your foot? Might be easier to fineness it into neutral than with your foot. Though that still leaves the problem as to why its doing it.
gently rock the bike back and forth while pulling up on the gear shift. Maybe you can catch the half click that way.

If there is something wrong with the neutral safety that might cause the bike not to roll over with the clutch pulled in. If you manage to get to neutral you can at least rule that out.

+1 for checking your bank angle sensor too. (mines been bypassed).
Kickstand switch again could cause a problem with the bike not being in neutral.
Personally I would address the neutral problem before checking too many other things

Okay, fault codes this and that. Its either one or two things. It could be your relay for the starter which I would test before buyong new ones, and secondly since it sounds like you havce a stock CBR F4I you might of chewed up a bit of your wiring harness when your fairings hit. You could also have a short. You could also have burned out your zener diode inside your ignition switch.

Oh and it also could be your kill switch. If its giving you trouble its very very easy to by pass. Connect the green and white wire to the red.
