used to happen to me on my 2002 - if I was hard on the gas and didn't get a solid shift into 2nd it would seem to catch but then pop out.

it happens bud, just be sure to shift solid not a light lift on yer foot.

This has happened to me a few times. Not very often, but like I think Regen said, when it has happened I haven't gotten a very good shift into second.

I wouldn't be too concerned if it is infrequently happening, but if it is maybe its the same fix as Jeff.

Mine only happens when I would try to shift hard at 13K, If I keep it under that and just feather the throttle for a second just to make sure its in there good it is usually fine. It hasnt done it in awhile but I dont go that hard all the time.

I had the same issue when i got my bike, adjusted the shift lever down some to get a better angle to kick into the next gear and it hasnt happened since.

or flip the linkage for GP style shifting
