I agree with the rectifier being the issue. Just change it. It is a failure point that need not be a variable. Been stranded 3 times on 3 diff cbrs all were rectifier/regulator problems. Good luck!!

 

Most likely the stator or rectifier. A friend and I just finished replacing his shorted stator, what would happen was his battery would die but before doing so his tachometer would read 0km/h then bike would die and motor would not crank over. Fairly easy repair, but verify the voltage both components are outputting, if they arn't sending proper voltage out of either part the parts are bad or bad wiring connection. Well best of luck.
