Default bike cover?

does anyone that parks thier bike in a garage also use a bike cover? i thought about throwin on a cover to keep dust off but i figured that covering/uncovering would probably scratch the paint and be a hassle.[&:]

I cover mine normally when I leave it outside. Usually when t rains I take it to a friends house about six blocks away. I don't cover it there. I haven't seen any scratches from putting cover on or taken it off. The only thing I noticed is when it rain on it with the cover on I get very light surface rust on rotors. No biggie.

Believe it or not I think that cover deturrs would be thieves from messin with it to. Takes to long to take it off to do quickly and still be able to see around them.

i think the cover should be used inside as well. its very dusty indoors and that dust does not collect only on plastics and seats. its also manages to find its way inside the muffler(i wouldnt worry about that) and the airduct. i would put a cover on the bike while im in the garage but thats if i wouldnt use the bike for few days.

I put a cover on mine in the winter. I love my bike too much, I do woodworking and I don't want any sawdust to blow on it either, and in the winter, when I am clearing my driveway, there were times that the snow blew in the garage and got on it. So for about 40 bucks, why not protect your investment?

I always have my covered my bikes, with a sheet when it is in the garage. I have been using a sheet on all my bikes in the garage, for over 30yrs. Never a problem. Fitted sheets are nice , the elastic makes a nice fit. I had a weatherproof cover once and I was using it in the garage. I threw that cover away.It held moisture/humidty to the bike.JMHO
