Default better then stock suspension settings?

Iam not a suspension tuner so all my suspension is setup as stock settings. I was wondering if theres a general setting I can set everything to that will be better then stock ones. I weigh 160 and i ride it to work mostly and some fun runs on weekends. I know suspension is everything but don't wanna mess with it and go the wrong way and make it worse.

Thanks

Well there are no golden numbers that will make your bike feel better, however if you are willing to do some work and let a friend help out you can get the bike set up for your weight and riding style with little mechanical skill. The hardest part is being willing to read how to do it! To start, you need to make sure that your forks are serviced and in decent position otherwise no matter what adjustments you do the bike wont feel much better. After that you can set the sag and preload; next the compression and rebound can be tuned relatively easy for street riding. Just make sure you write down your adjustments!!!!

Here's info on setting sag

Here's more info on tuning the rest of the suspension

There is a lot of info on tuning on that website as well as here in the how-to: section. Also look up David Moss, he knows an incredible amount of info on suspensions and has videos explaining everything in depth
