Best headlight upgrade

2001 F4I. Any suggestions? Visibility obviously being the priority, but a diff color and/or unique look doesn't hurt either. Thanks for any input.

Go HID kit.. Select the 8000k if you want a light blue tint to it.. 10000k for purple.. Depending in what state you are in you have to be careful. I am in PA and rock the 8000k and do not have a problem.. It looks sick coming at you too!

I too recommend HID, altough I prefer the 5000K spectrum.

"HID kit" just means "blue headlights" in most cases -- which is fine if you just want some bling. If you want the performance of real HID lights you can't just put cheap xenon bulbs in your stock light housing, you need projectors designed for HIDs. If you're a DIY type, your best bet is going to a salvage yard and getting some HID projectors from a late model upmarket car like an Infiniti or Lexus. I hear the Buell projectors available on ebay every now and then are pretty good. The $40 Chinese kits, OTOH . . .:icon_doh:

I had the Xenon H7 bulbs in mine and I liked them a lot better than stock. It gave it that blue look and I liked them a lot better.

Plug and play HID kit is most common. Projector retrofit is best performance, but not easy.

If you get the plug and play kits that actually have a ballast to them they are 10 x brighter then stock. They aren't just "blue headlights" You can get different color spectrum's. I do not have the the projectors in my head lights and they work great..
