the motorcycles on this forum seemed to go really cheap but i think its becuase there are large amounts of people and the market is affected by all locations.

i live in ny. i sold my f4i it was lowsided but i did fix it with new fairings. i had an m4 13400miles and a had new chain and sprokets, it will need new tires and battery soon and i sold it for 4400 my full asking price and when i sold it localy and put it by the street with a for sale sign it went in 3 days and acutally the first person that looked at it was the first one to come back with the cash.

but there are great deals out there to be had on bikes if you have the paitence to wait long enogh

I know that I am waiting until the end of the season to score a good deal. $4500 isn't a bad price for this time of the year, most of the 01/02 F4is I see are going for $5000-$5500(asking price) which I think is a bit ridiculous. I'm hoping to pick up a decent F4i for under $4500 in Aug/Sept

yeah the more patience you have the better deal you'll end up getting. I had to wait close to four months for the dealers to take my price I offered for my f4i. Eventually they broke

$5800 for an F4i seems absolutely ridiculous to me, and I LOVE F4i's.

I paid $5800 for an 05 with 2100 miles on it with a jacket, magnetic tank bag, and HJC helmet a month ago...Had to travel about 200 miles to get it at that price..I would expect to lose about $1200-$1500 in three years. So $4000-$4500 with no accessories sounds about right to me.

i scored my 04 with under 4,000 miles for 5K cash. he also threw in a L HJC CS-12 helmet, and a leather matching Honda Genuine racing jacket.

he had istalled a hotbodies undertail, and flushmounts... the rest of the bike was stock.

also, he thew in a scorpion pipe, but i had to weld my own slip on... it wasn't ready to install. the throw ins he gave me, i figure added up to 500 bucks. the condition of the bike is great. he never had frame sliders on it, but he laid it over once on the left side.. very minimal scratches on the crank cover, and left fairing. still good condition. i woudln't offer any more than 4K, considering its older than mine, and over double the milage.

and... i live in SUNNY SO CAL.. the state for perfect ridding, so dont' think i live in up state NY, were there's onle 1 month of decent riding.

Yeah slamblacksdimeI would stay away from the ole choke (F4)...Too many problems and too much maintenence in my opinion. Much better to stick with the F4i plus when you get the hang of things it give you room to really expand/upgrade. But againthat just one opinion.

well guys i went to check out the first f4i i mentioned ( 2002 CBR 600 F4i Runs very strong, D&D exhaust, Needs new battery, Bike has about 10000 miles on it. I have the title in hand. A few cosmetic scratches. 4500) i went with my cousins boyfriend because he has been riding for a while and took advice from hear to bring someone who knows their stuff...nothing mechanically wrong, has been dropped it needs a new battery and new tires, and the rest is cosmetic..the guy is down to 4000 on the price because of the batt, tires, and so on.. i have 3300 in the bank which im going to make and offer to him and might have a few hundred from my next paycheck but was told not to go more then 3700...what do you guys think??? if its good what websites can i find tires, mirrors and blinkers, the bike has no mirrors and bootleg blinkers held on with epoxy...thanks for the help guys

Sorry, when I said $5800 was a ridiculous price for an F4i, I meant an 01-03 F4i; it definitely makes sense to pay that for an 05, sounds like you got a great bike at a great price.
