Default Battery???????????

Bought a battery last week and my bike started right up. I went riding last night for a few and stalled out and now my battery is dead. The battery no longer holds charge. I was wondering is there a website to purchase a battery that is for my bike because I think the battery sucks cuz i bought it from PEP BOYS

Did you replace your battery because your old one did the exact same thing?

Did you remember to charge the new battery on a proper charger for at least 6 hours before dropping it into your bike?

If the answer to the above is yes on both counts, then the problem is either your R\R or your stator. On your bike, my money's on the garbage R\R they put in there.

That's like saying your Honda sucks because you bought it from a Harley dealership. The best place to get bike batteries is actually Wal-Mart. If you didn't like pep Boys, your're not gonna like Wal-Mart.

Should say it right in the instructions. I reccomend overnight. DO NOT USE A CAR BATTERY CHARGER!! Use a charger specifically designed for motorcycle batteries. Any place that sells bike batteries will also sell a charger. You'll need it to de-winterize your bike, so you should invest in one.

Rectifier/Regulator. It takes the voltages from your battery and stator (alternator), and converts \ regulates them to the voltages your bike needs to work. It also sends some of that back IN to the battery while the bike is running to charge it. If your R/R burns out, you're stuck running the bike straight off the battery until it dies, which sound precisely like what happened to you.
