Here in Indiana you can go and renew your registration EARLY not on the last day. And if the popo wanted to be a dick he'd have impounded it. I'd say ya got offeasy.

+1 Ruftags. I don't see anything wrong with having all tags expire on the same day - like I said, it was like that in Michigan for many years. And just because it is the first of the year (also a holiday) doesn't make it any worse - just get your *** there in December.

Sounds like norfolk is a procrastinator!?!?!?!

You know the cop has to have a reason to pull you over more than suspicion of a expired registration. . . Should of asked him why he pulled you over first

"Suspicion"? If he can see the expired tag on the plate there's really nothing "suspicious" about it. More like OBVIOUS. Some of you youngsters really need to brush up on your knowledge of the law.

And if the state he lives in is like MI, those babies are color coded so it's even more obvious if your tag is from last year.

I agree, here in michigan and Im assuming everywhere else thats all they need and I have even been pulled over for less. Last June I was messing around and doing wheelies on this secluded road and someone called the cops on me and they pulled me over and let me go, I didnt even have my endorsement and they let me go with a warning. But the crazy thing is the next week I was heading over to a friends place and the same cop "recognized" me and pulled me over for that reason alone, gave me a $225 ticket. It was my fault but I wasnt doing anything wrong and he pulled me over. Went and got my endorsement the next day.

My car tags expired on the 31st of the year. My bike was good. I live in Maryland.
