Default auxilary fan?

okay so i was siting on my bike on the way home and the fan was kicking in at 229-230 and going down to 225 and im like this is crazy even if it is common. i get home and im looking at the bike and thinking well i put water wetter in and nothing happend. maybe i could put a second fan on and i go up to the bike and look and there are no mounts for a second fan so im like crap im sht out of luck.

then i thought about its some more and thought about it and said wait a truck tranny coolers are about the same size if not a little smaller. so i went to the auto parts store and they had a fan after some messuring that will fit the radiator . and then i could hook a toggle switch. what do you guys think???

That sounds about right at those temps as long as nother higher you should be fine... As for another fan someone else had this idea a few pages back. Really no point unless you personally just want the bike alittle bit cooler

why dont you just turn your bike off every time you hit 230 let the fan cool the radiator and then wait for the green light to turn the bike on? Seriously, but do you let your bike just sit there and heat up while your on a light or standing?
Save your money....thats my opinion.
Water wetter does help but not by much, since our bike get super hot the cool down period is reduced with wetter but the motor still maintains to produce a grand amount of heat.

who needs a fan...weight reduction right?! Just like coming up with extra bolts when putting it back together i always say you just economized and if Honda hired me for design they would be banking on screws

i get stuck in traffic alot now becuase of work. i dont want to shut the bike off at every like it just puts extra strain on the starter. i mean thats crazy for the bike to be geting that hot weather its normal or not. niftyfive what is your water to coolent ratio? the less coolent you run in your bike the cooler the bike will run . it will only cost me 70 bucks max to hook it up and will give me a piece of mind. what i was more or less looking for was recomendations for electrical like if i would have any problmes or what others would suggest.

just leave it the way it is if the bike needs to run cooler at a stoplight then hond would have made the fan come on at 190 or so !!!
