Anyone use a tank cover?

Anyone use a tank cover?
Long story short, I was hauling my F4i back from where I stored it for the winter and one of the straps snapped, causing it to fall onto the tank.
Its worse than what the picture shows.
I've seen some of the cheaper China fairing kits that come with tank "covers" that just go over them instead of replacing the entire thing. And for now, money is tight, and shipping to Alaska kills any good deals I do find on a tank anyways.
I was wanting to see if anyone has had any luck with the "covers" and what the quality was, how they fit, and what they look like. If I could get one of those, I would be able to airbrush it again for the new theme and then cover the tank instead of completely replacing it.
