Default Anyone here owned both F3-F4 AND F4i?

Just wondering, as i have an F3 now, and want to move on, should i settle for an F4, or just skip a step, throw in the extra money and get an F4i?
I like the RR as well, but it doesnt look as comfy on long rides as the F-models...

I've had an F4 and F4i - just skip the F4 and get either a split seat F4i or an RR - The Fuel Injection is priceless.

I actually went to the F4i and now I want an RR because I like the undertail exhaust, and I never spend more than abotu 45 minutes on it at a time....

I like taking the girl out for longer trips, its nice to see other places than your normal surroundings
This post on the F3 forum is from a trip me and a few buddies took this summer.

Peace!

Got both. Skip the F4. Carb to carb little difference. Carb to fi, whole different bike.

If you have the money, F4i is a better ride for the street. I've got an F4i for the street, and F4 on the track. I do love my F4 though- feels much better on the track vs F4i.

Agreed, when i went from my f4 to f4i i could tell a lot of diffrence in throttle response. seemed like the f4 was more slugish to speed up were as the Fi was direct power lol.

I dont think getting an F4 would be settling.. personally the better charging system of the F4i is a great draw (yuk yuk!) to the F4i.. I also love the gauge cluster of the F4i.. and despite the fact that I used to like the F4i nose better... I now prefer the F4 look I think.... it has really grown on me as a classic look.. and I am one of the few and proud that like the nana seat better too.... I know.. unreal....

if you can afford the price difference the F4i might be worth it for you.

I had a f2 which was like the f3 and now I own a f4i. For longer trips no doubt the F2 was way way more comfortable. I went 4 hours straight and was fine at the end. The f4i for me more than a hour and I feel it.

I went from an F4 to an RR....I think the RR is more comfortable than my F4.

I agree about skipping the F4 and get an F4i... FI > carb....I dont miss the hard starts at all that I had with my F4.
