Default Another CCT ?

My bike had been making a noise and all the reading I've done has led me to believe that it was the CCT. I even had a service tech. tell me that's what it was, but of course he wanted $260 to put in a new one.

Well, about a week ago I noticed that I had a small coolant leak. So on Saturday, I tightened up the hose clamp. I rode yesterday for about 45 minutes and also this morning to work and the noise that was there is gone. Could all of that noise been coming from a loose hose clamp? It's strange but it's nice to ride and not hear that noise.

not likely that it's from the hose clamp...unless the sound you described was not the cctl. as far as the tech, he just wanted money...i got mine replaced AFTER my warranty went out. but most shops won't even bother asking the regional honda service manager.

It doesn't make sense that it would be the hose clamp. The sound....between 5000 and 6000 RPM's....sounds like bb's rattling around in an aluminum can. Every time I'm approaching 5000 I think I'm gonna hear it, but right now I just hear the motor. Kind of nice, but now I'm just confused.

I read somewhere about somebody's kid putting something in their exhaust.
