Aiming HIDs?

I have searched and haven't found much. I just intalled my DDM HID kit and I'm having trouble aiming my high beam. I know the top screw is the up and down adjustment my guess is the bottom one is left and right. Well I can't get it to do anything it's aimed up how I want it but it's pointed to the left really fare like if I'm riding it's in the other lane. I turned the screw both ways and the beam didn't seem to move much. Is that common or could it be broke or something? The low beam adjusts just fine but the high beam is being difficult. Is there a special way of aiming just right? Like on a car you sit on level ground and park something like 20 or 30 feet away from a wall or something like that. Is it the same for a bike?

Thanks guys.

On my 01 I only have a single adj screw. All the way left is down all the way right is up IIRC. Could be the other way, just turn it all the way one direction then as you go back you should see it gradually move.

Hmm didnt think about that. The 01 f4i has the same headlight correct? I'll have to try what you said tomorrow.

Alright so after getting to ride at night on a very dark road I figured out that my high beam is actually perfect it just needs to come up a little and what I thought was my high beam was just a random reflection due to not have projector lens with the HID kit. I feel very dumb now but I didn't have much riding time due to it raining the day installed the kit and raining every time I wanted to test it out.

Looks like you already got it figured out but when i installed mine i didnt trim enough of the excess plastic off bulb holder leading it to not fully sit in it's little hole. So the hi-beam was pointed too high, a little more trimming and it fits perfectly and points strait.

I actually used your how-to to install mine. I couldn't get the high beam ballast to fit in the spot you put yours. It's still kinda in they spot but I gotta pull the ballast and remount it when I have time.
