Well, last night was the first accident.
Was riding on the highway when a cager went through a red light. They were doing a california stop thru the light and making a right (in my lane) onto the highway. I had a car in the next lane and didn't think I could get over quick enough. I grabbed the front brake and the bike slide from under me.
I rolled for a good bit and then got up. I actualy saw the bike slide across the highway. I was afraid it was going to take my cousin and his bike out because he said the bike actually slide next to him.
ALWAYS wear your gear. It saved me from some serious pain and medical bills. Will find out total damage once dealership looks at it.

sucks dude, nice title though. wearing only jeans? I recently bought some overpants for that reason. some sliders would have saved you a bundle in this one. next time!

Joey_f4i 07-06-2009 11:13 AM

Ouch....
Glad you are alright bud.

thanx. ironically enough, sliders are in the mail. go figure. as for the jeans, lesson learned. new pants will be coming soon.
i got really lucky and i know it. no need to tempt fate, i'll still be riding with my new, better gear.

Ohhh ****ing ouch, man. Sorry to hear about this :( crashing really, really sucks. Glad you're ok and the bike is mostly- doesn't look too bad, does it start up ok?

Totally agree, the bike doesn't look bad at all. Besides the rashed up knees, did the gear you were wearing do its job? What all did you have on besides a helmet & jacket?
Glad to hear your Ok :)

Rough, thank goodness you're OK, the most dangerous parts of biking are the ones we can't control...

Wheelie_Ryan 07-06-2009 04:54 PM

another reason to ALWAYS wear a helmet. Bikes can get fixed but brains can't. Glad you're well, get well soon buddy

Bonafide 07-06-2009 06:14 PM

I glad you're ok.
Gear first?
