Aftermarket sprocket and chain?

This is my first post here! I did a search and got some mixed results. I'm a newbie and have a 01 F4I with exhaust and a few trinkets on it. I need a new chain (12,000 miles) and I figured why not a new chain and sprockets. I'm wonderng whats a good company that makes a chain/sprocket combo. By searching it looks as if i want a -1front/+1 rear? Wondering where the cheapest place on line would be and whats a good quality setup, is a 520 gonna last? I'm definetly sold on the steel sprockets. Also will I need a special tool for the master link on the aftermarket chains or do the aftermarket ones not need that tool? thanks!

RE: Aftermarket sprocket and chain?

i always go to www.sprocketcenter.com for their combo deals.
i would go with a DID street chain and AFAM or whatever combo they have there.
you always want to change your sprocket and chain at the same time or else one will cause the other to wear prematurely.

DID absolutely rocks.

RE: Aftermarket sprocket and chain?

ebay a set. Just do a search on f4i 520 conversion. Half of what other people ask.
