Apologies if this has been discussed before, the only thread I could find on it for the f4i was from 2005.

I've got an 01 CBR600f4i, it has the split seat configuration, I'd like to replace just the rider seat, don't give a damn about the rear seat, only 2 up riding I do is taking the girlfriend or sister two miles to school.

I looked around and found the Corbin seat ( http://www.corbin.com/honda/cbrf4i.shtml ) but 260$+ is WAY out of my price range for a seat.

Are there any other good aftermarket seats for the bike? Or am I better off just buying some gel material and adding an extra layer of padding?

 

I would just go the reupholstered route. It's much cheaper to take the seat off, insulate it to your liking and just staple it back together underneath like it was before. A lot of aftermarket seats are in the hundreds range, and they're all out of everyone's price range. You can troll around on Ebay though, I'm sure somebody is making them for cheap haha.
