Aftermarket Headers/Midpipe?

Are there any good ones out there for the f4i? I bought it with a micron slip on, which sounds great and all, I was just wondering if there is anything that can make it a little deeper or a little louder.

the only thing that shows up on google is Muzzy's stainless steel headers. the setup is expensive.

You could just chop a couple inches of the can and it would be exactly what your looking for without spending hundreds of dollars.

do you guys know what those serpent exhaust headers went for when they were being made?

you could not have a muffler, and just run pipe as an exhaust. that would be as loud as it gets. but unless you have a motor setup for forced air induction via a turbo/supercharger, you may want some back pressure in the exhaust. Supposedly, it is a variable that ups the compression in the engine.

A lot. I happened to get a brand new one on ebay last year I think? It cost me like 300 dollars. It was definately worth it. If I had to do it over again, I'd pay 600 dollars for this header, maybe more. The weight savings alone makes it worth the money, not even to mention the power! It will make your bike super loud though, and f4i slip ons will no longer fit. However, slipons for 01-02 r1's will fit with no modifications.

I have a moto gp stubby that essentially is like running the bike with open headers. The bike runs like crap when I put it on because of a lack of back pressure but it is the meanest and loudest thing I've ever heard in my life. I've never ridden with it on but I'd imagine I'd go deaf in about 4 miles.

I had my bike on the dyno last year and a micron slip-on is good for 3hp over an open header. I never ran it on the street like that though.
