After 4 days of being licensed...

Finally, after getting my license on Friday, I'm getting my money's worth.

Got the Hotbodies Flushmounts, Woodcraft frame sliders, and Competition Werkes fender eliminator all installed.

Got my first group ride out of the way, 100+ mile trip through some twisties, and even some highway riding. Nice and easy pace with my boss, his buddy, and their wives. I was the odd one out since they were on Harleys.

And even got my first night time ride in last night, riding back 20 miles from my uncle's house.

All in all, 4 days and almost 300 cumulative miles later, I'm very satisfied how all this is working out as planned. Loving my F4i and looking forward to adorning my sweet Violet with more toys.

Thanks for reading guys!

Nice, man. My boss rides a lot, too... except his is peddle-power. :(

I think I did about 300 miles over the weekend between the Alpine Loop, circling Utah Lake, and attempting Nebo Loop (which turned out to still be closed above 8k feet). Plenty of twisties and hit 142 mph. :D

sick! i thought going 75 was living dangerously.

Work up to it and you'll get there. Just make sure you're not putting anyone else at risk and that the risk to yourself is at a minimum.

I was on a straight road and already going 75 when the road went completely empty for over a mile. I was left with no other choice but to twist the throttle all the way. I slowed back down as soon as there was oncoming traffic again (and the risk of someone passing in my lane).

BTW, I pretty much had it topped out and my bike has -1/+2 gearing. The numbers were ticking up really slowly when I let off. Maybe had a few mph left, but that's all.

Sounds like you are having a good time with it! I just got my license today and have already spent some time out on my bike getting to know it and learn a bit more about riding. The hard thing right now is that my girlfriend is still without a bike so we're having to cruise around with a car and a bike and trade out on the bike... currently planning on *fixing* that problem with another CBR tomorrow morning :D
