an 03 f4i and 2k for your 03 r1? Not bad at all considering 03 r1s go for around 3500 by me. As far as the f4i the only real issue is the auto cam chain tensioner going bad and needing to be replaced, but with 19k miles on the bike its more likely than not that its already gone bad and been replaced, but if not that may need to be done soon, just ask or listen for it. And as long as its had its 16k mile service done and had the valve clearances checked and shimmed if necessary youre good to go. The f4i r/r seems to go bad on a good number of bikes as well but i dont think its a huge issue. The cct is the only big one really.

Manual cam chain tensioner is only like 60$ too. These bikes take a huge beating

Sounds like a good deal to me, any specific reason you're trading your r1?

The CCTL is not a deal breaker with these bikes, unless there are a lot of miles and it has never been replaced. At 19k it shouldn't matter.

I personally wouldn't buy an F4i with those heavy suspension mods, as it'll no longer handle like the original bike, and it's hard to say how hacked together it was. If it comes with the stock parts, then maybe, but I personally would shy away from something with that much work unless I knew the person it was coming from.

That's not to say it wasn't well done or a bad deal. But there's always a chance, and for me that chance is enough to walk away, for what it's worth.
