520 Chain and Sprocket Conversion
I have a 02 Cbr 600 F4i and I want to do the conversion to the 520 chain and -1 in the front and +2 in the rear. I need a little more at the track. I just wanted to see what aftermarket brands people had out there and how well have they held up for you. THX

I don't know much about the topic myself but ive seen this talked about many times.. Try searching for 520 kits in this forum and see what you find.

If you stick with the major brands, you ought to be good. Renthal, Driven, Vortex, Afam, Thrust...

I have a set of Drivens and they been great.

If you have aluminum, let me know what kind of mileage your getting out of the sprokets. I ride quite a bit and i'm looking for something that will also last, Its crossed my mind to get the aluminum sproket rear with steal teeth....

the steel will last longer. Mines alum and so far its holding up good. has roughy 10k on it now.

is that with stock tooth count or with -1/+2 and is it the same brand chain?

you know, a 520 kit is nice because it comes in a kit roughly about 150$, I stuck with 525 and accually bought them online from motoworldonline.com (great place fast shipping, good customer communication). I got the Supersprox rear (highly reccomended) and the vortex front with a EK chain for just under 200$ which IMO was well worth the extra 50$

I got the Vortex sprockets and RK racing chain on mine. with the -1 on the front. It has 8000 miles on them and they are holding up great. Paid like 150 on Ebay for the kit, front and rear sprockets with chain. Havent seen any issues, just keep it lubed and have the right slack/tension in the chain and will run great.
