2006 F4I or 2001 R1?

Hello all. I know this might be a biased question but I have no other places to go to get advice. About two weeks ago I sold my 2002 F4I because I about to buy a 600rr, however on my way to pick up the bike the seller decided to sell it to someone else because he had a higher offer. Now I am left bikeless! I sold my F4I for $3k. Now I am in the market for a new bike. I narrowed down my choices to these two ATM. A 2001 R1 that has been laid down once. It has some cracks and scratches but other than that seems okay. It has a Graves exhaust and tons of after market stuff and only has 14k miles for sale for $2800! My other choice would be a bone stock 2006 CBR F4I with 28k miles on sale for $3400. If you would pick, which one would you go for and why? Also if you know any known problems about the 2001 R1 please let me know because I cant find any answers else where. TBH I am leaning towards the R1 because 1st its cheaper, 2nd I believe it looks better. Thank all so much!

If the R1 has no engine trouble, i would go grab it tonight. If you replace the fairing for a few hundred bucks, then hell you can resell if for 4 or 5K and buy an F4i with some money left over

2001 R1 is carbureted. $2,800 for an R1 with minimal damage and low miles sounds like a scam, or there's more damage, or the seller is clueless. Definitely give it a check before you do anything.

if you got the r1 fixed it up and like it ride it.. but if you like the rr look better (as i do) fix it sell it get an rr... but then again how fast to you want to start riding again... nothing wrong with the f4i at all.. it really all depends on you, are you ready for a liter bike...
even though i love my f4i i really love the look of the rr....just don't have the money for an rr....

Yeah I know its carbed but according to the owner it has minor seat tears, some cracked and fairing scratches and I guess owes $150 in registration. I am definitely going to test ride it and see. Any tips? I want an RR and an F4I bad but man the cheapest ones here in my area is that 2006 and other F4Is are up to 4500 and RRs up to 6000!
