2006 F1 light and speedometer
While traveling on the interstate, the speedometer went to 0 and shortly after the F1 light came on. I flipped the run/stop switch quickly and it went off but the speedometer still read 0. The light comes on only when I'm on the highway or interstate and never when I'm riding around town. The speedometer has a mind of its own and seems to work whenever it chooses. And when the speedometer isn't working, the odometer isn't working also so I don't know how many miles I've traveled and I don't know how much fuel I have left until the reserve lights up. Any ideas on why this happens and suggestions to fix it?

Maybe have a look at the speed senor, and the 3pin connector , and follow the Pink/Green wire to the instrument panel through the 12 pin and 9pin connectors making sure the wire is secure, page 9-11 of the manual will help

Thanks, I'll check out the connector. But my manual pages aren't numbered in sections like that. It goes from 1-244

Most likely a faulty sensor. Mine did that when I first got it. Fortunately I had a spare to swap it for.
