Bike will start and stay running if I pop start it. New Battery

On bike, kickstand up, key on.

Will hear relays click when engaging the starter switch. Lights on instrument go off, clock goes back to 12:00.


I've heard that the starter switch on these models go bad. True?

 

No, the starter switch is not known for going out. Everything you've described is a dead battery to a T. I'd check the voltage on the new one with a multimeter before going further.

 

Did they test the new battery when you bought it?

 

Battery Reads 11.99 volts.


even had battery on tender over night and still wouldn't start.
