2004 1000rr swingarm on F4i
Hey Guys,
I just got my hands on a 2004 1000rr swing arm and im wondering if I can pop it in my 2002 F4i. I tried doing research on what is needed and I only found random bickering on stunt forums about how the swing arm can make the engine collapse on the F4i but this is with the 600rr swing arm installed. My F4i is a street bike ONLY!!! So any help would be appreciated.

It's not going to just "pop in" but it can be done with minor fabing. IMO i would upgrade the forks before i'd ever mess with the swingarm. Forks would be a noticble improvement on handling and braking. Swingarm upgrades are just for looks.

Forks being a noticeable "improvement" is speculative and personal preference. Replacing them will shorten the wheelbase of the bike, making it more prone to wheelies and much more dive-happy (will lean into turns faster). That might be good to some people, but others may dislike it. Just FYI for anyone considering.

hate to burst you bubble but it cant be done, i can tell you 100% iv got a 04 1000rr swingarm that is a spare off my other bike, i had a look at it and its impossible so i did an 05 600rr swingarm and 07 1000rr front end.
the reasoning is simple, where they mount the frame they are drastically different.
where the f4i has the pivot bolt that slides through one side of the swingarm, through the frame/engine, then out the other side of the swingarm and through outer frame,
the 1000rr swingarm only goes through the frame from side to side of the 1k. if its hard to understand just look at pictures of both and youll understand straight away

The guy in my 1st post from sportbikes.net must haven been confused about his own bike. squid. I didnt even realize it wasnt an 1000rr SA until more google image searching.
Ozf4i that's toooo pretty of a f4i to have a bald front tire . If i had both i'd probably show the 1k a little more saddle time than the good ol' f4i anyways. Both look super clean.
